An alcoholic beverage.
Example: It is two hours until 5 pm, and JTJ is really looking forward to sharing some nice cold bevvies with the team after work.
Bis•cuit (n.)
[bis-kit]
A bitter bite sized chocolate chip cookie that may or may not be laced with hash.
Example: “Hey guys! Want to leave work early and eat some biscuits in the park?”
Bin (v.)
[bin]
To throw something away.
Example: Amanda Sayer, (the record keeper of this exhaustive list of JTJ idioms) having a dinner party without me is a terrible idea, you should definitely bin it.
Cheek•y (adj.)
[chee-kee]
Impudent or irreverent, typically in an endearing or amusing way.
Example: “You are a cheeky mother fucker, sneaking all those bevvys into the pool.”
Chew•y (n.)
[choo-ee]
Chewing Gum.
Example: My breath smells toxic, might I have a stick of chewy?
Co•ma•tose (adj.)
[kom-uh-tohs]
Lacking alertness or energy.
Example: Amanda, you poisoned Giovanni with too many biscuits. He was totally comatose the whole plane ride to Los Angeles.
Cool Cat (n.)
[kool kat]
Used to refer to a person who is cool. Generally, someone who is funny, chill, and entertaining.
Example: Jared The Jew is one cool cat.
Cool & The Gang (n.)
[kool-and,(ə)n thē,thə ɡaNG]
Meaning cool, but much better than just saying cool.
Example: “You want me to eat that? Cool & gang, I can help you.”
Cool•i•o (n.)
[kool-ee-o]
Meaning cool, but typically used as a one-word response.
Example: “No way, you finished 10 toy factory art boards today? Coolio! You are a very good slave.”
Co•pi•ous (adj.)
[ko-pee-es]
Extensive in quantity.
Example: It has been a very long week, Jared The Jew is looking forward to drinking copious amounts of alcohol by the pool this weekend.
Cous•in (n.)
[cuz-in]
A peer or co-worker within the same age range as yourself.
Example: Cousin Camilio really likes you too.
Dosh (n.)
[daw-sh}
British slang word for money.
Example: Do you guys have enough dosh to get a cab back to the toy factory?
Dra•ma (n.)
[draw-ma}
A situation or sequence of events that is highly emotional, tragic, or turbulent.
Example: Dealing with the toy factory folks is always a drama.
Du•champ (v.)
[doo-sha-mp]
The act of copying or ripping off something.
Example: Jared – “Duchamp, duchamp, duchamp, duchamp, duchamp.”
Fru•i•tion (n.)
[froo-ish-in]
The accomplishment of something desired.
Example: We have some really good ideas for new toys, I hope we can see them come to fruition.
Fuck•ing the Dog (phrase)
Slacking or procrastinating a task.
Example: Tanner is fucking the dog hard, because he is trying to secretly skype his girlfriend instead of doing his work.
Good Bud•dy (n.)
A term of endearment to describe a friend or co-worker.
Example: “Hey Kira! When you get a chance, can you call us a car good buddy?”
In•fect•ed (adj.)
[in-fekt-ed]
Contaminated or polluted with; as if with a disease.
Example: “Amanda, you are starting to use all my sticky idioms… Congratulations, you have been infected.”
Jive (v.)
[jai-ve]
Match up well.
Example: Tanner doesn’t seem to jive well with the rest of the interns at the toy factory. But in his defence, he’s Mormon.
Kitsch•y (adj.)
[ki-ch-ee]
Products that are pleasingly distasteful; They are sentimentally charming, tacky and fun.
Example: When you interns are designing, think kitsch!! The Toy Factory Folks LOVE kitsch.
La•ter Ska•ter (phrase)
A playful way of saying goodbye to a friend.
Example: We are off to the pool, Later Skater!!
Ming•ing (adj.)
[min-ging]
British term for a very bad or unpleasant smell.
Example: Don’t go in there, that potty is minging.
Mozz•ie (n.)
[ma-zee]
Australian term for mosquito.
Example: Make sure when you get to work that you kill all the mozzies under the table, so they don’t bite up your legs.
No Joy (n.)
[no-joi]
British term for a negative outcome; no success; bad luck; failure.
Example: I have been rubbing this for an hour and still no joy.
Nugg•et (n.)
[nug-it]
Something small but valuable.
Example: Jared The Jew likes to share very valuable nuggets of wisdom with his interns.
Pea•nuts (n.)
[pee-nuts]
A very small amount of money.
Example: Sometimes it feels like I am doing all this work for peanuts.
Piss Rain (phrase)
When lots of rain pours down in a short period of time.
Example: Shanghai typhoon season is crazy; it was 100 degrees this morning and now it is pissing rain.
Pe•do (n.)
[pe-do]
An abbreviated way of saying pedophile; an adult that is sexually attracted to children.
Example: Did you see those pictures of that man from the photo shoot, he was totally a pedo.
Pooping Out (phrase)
To produce a lot of things quickly.
Example: If you guys want to move on to more fun projects, you need to start pooping out those art boards.
Pop (n.)

Interchangeably used to express orgasms or work in the context of sexual acts.
Example: All you want is blow pops, hand pops, and massage pop pops.
Pros•ti•tute (v.)
[pras-ti-toot]
To sell oneself or one’s talent for an unworthy purpose.
Example: In order to get to where you want in this business you have to prostitute yourself as a designer.
Reck•on (v.)
[rek-en]
A hillbilly way of saying think or suppose.
Example: I reckon that the only reason Tanner is rushing his engagement is because he wants to get laid really bad.
Sat•u•rat•ed (adj.)
[sat-chur-ate-ed]
Filled or loaded to capacity.
Example: The toy market is already saturated with products like that.
Shit Hot (adj.)
Outstanding, incredible, excellent, above expectations, marvellous & superb….in other words pretty fucking awesome.
Example: Have you heard this new shit hot track from DJ Shadow?
Skull (v.)
[skul]
To drink an entire beverage in one go or very quickly.
Example: Damn Alejandro, you were thirsty. You skulled that bevvy back like it was air.
Sort•ed (v.)
[sor-tid]
To complete or finish a task.
Example: Hey kids, did you get all of your art boards sorted?
Sunn•ies (n.)
[sun-ees]
The Australian way of saying sunglasses.
Example: We are going to the pool AGAIN, make sure you don’t forget to bring your sunnies.
Swing It (phrase)
To be able to do something.
Example: We might be tight on time to get that project done, but I think if we work hard, we should be able to swing it.
Suss Out (phrase)
British Slang for figuring something out.
Example: I am not sure whether Uncle Denny will approve our camping trip, but I will go and suss out the situation.
Tox•ic (adj.)
Poisonous; Something that has a dangerous or contagious effect.
Example: That horrible employee was toxic to the workplace.
Time•Raped (phrase)
To have one’s time whisked away by incompetence or bad luck.
Example: I’m stuck in the longest line getting #timeraped
U•ber (prefix.)
[oo-ber]
Being a superlative example of its kind.
Example: Jared is an ubercool boss.
Uncle (n.)
[unk-el]
A peer or co-worker that is older than you.
Example: Those Italians are a crazy bunch, that is why Uncle Vince is such a silly guy.
Yoosb (n.)
[yoo-sb]
JTJ’s weird way of saying USB.
